Microsoft Excel 2016 – Getting Started with PowerPivot

INTRODUCTION

PowerPivot is an add-in for Excel that greatly extends the Pivot Table. PowerPivot offers improved data summarization and cross-tabulation as well as expanded data capacity, and advanced calculations. As a result, PowerPivot falls under Microsoft’s Business Intelligence offerings. This product brings the power of advanced analytics to the average Excel user.

EXCEL VERSIONS

 PowerPivot is an add-in program for Excel 2010 and Excel 2013. Its features are also integrated into Excel 2016. This course is taught using Excel 2016 software but the concepts are identical with PowerPivot implementations found in Excel 2010 and 2016 (or Office 365).

PRE-REQUISITES

Excel Introduction or equivalent skills with experience using pivot tables.
